Work back from your day
Put in the date and see the last day to be measured, when each fitting falls and when you collect. We would rather tell you now than rush the last fitting.
A wedding, a graduation, a first day. We work back from it: 8 weeks, three fittings, and a week in hand.
What we make
From the cutting table
Prices are for the garment in our house cloths. A finer cloth from the book adds to it, and you know the total before we cut.
Two-piece suit

The cloth book
Choose it by hand
Twelve cloths on the shelf, from tropical wool for the heat to a flannel for a winter trip. Here is a sample; the full book is in the shop.
At the back of the shop
Three tailors, one pattern each
Your pattern is drafted on brown paper from your measurements and kept in the drawer with your name on it, so the second suit starts where the first one finished. Every buttonhole is sewn by hand; the machines do the long seams.

My pattern is in their drawer. I rang, chose a cloth, and the fourth suit fitted at the first fitting.
The planner told us straight away we had time for bespoke before the wedding. The final fitting was nine days before.
I wore my father's Chalkline safari suit to his birthday; they made me one to match from his pattern.
